Reservation Requirements for House and Cottage Rentals
To reserve your vacation time in one of our rental homes or cottages (these policies may also apply to our apartment rentals), we require a 100% deposit for anything less than a two-week stay. For two weeks or longer 50% is required to hold your reservation. Should cancellation be necessary, a refund will be made, less a $25 administrative fee, only if we are able to rebook your vacation time. For those of you traveling with a pet, options are available; a security deposit is required and is refundable two weeks after your departure date. Check-in time is 4 PM, and check-out 11 AM.
Hotel Rooms, Suites, and Apartments
To reserve one of our hotel rooms, suites, or apartments, a 50% deposit is due at the time you make your reservation. If you are reserving for one night only midweek, 100% is due to hold your reservation. Any weekly rental in an apartment or suite requires 100% down at the time your reservation is made. Weekly and nightly reservations in any apartment are only refundable, less the $25 administrative fee, if the full rental time is re-booked. Our six day cancellation policy applies only to hotel rooms and suites. Cancellations may be made up to six days prior to your scheduled arrival less a $25 administrative fee. If you cancel within six days of your reservation there is no refund. Check-in time for all hotel rooms is 3 PM, check-out 11 AM; for apartments and suites check-in is at 4 PM, check-out 11 AM. Pets and smoking are not allowed.
Other Useful Information
While we sympathize with family emergencies, travel mix-ups, and uncooperative weather, our cancellation policies will continue to remain in effect unless ferries and planes are not running. We regret that we cannot give refunds for early departures or late arrivals.
For the comfort and safety of out guests, all of our accommodations are non-smoking. In the event that smoking is discovered, a cleaning fee will be applied to your account. Check-in and check-out for all of our properties is at Block Island Reservations now located in the lobby of the Harborside Inn, on Water Street & directly across the street from the Old Harbor Ferry landing.
